What do you get when you combine the best elements of an upscale avant-garde apparel store, a contemporary art gallery, a ritzy restaurant, and a boutique hotel? Meet 10 Corso Como, one of Milan’s most conceptual retail experiences.

When former fashion editor Carla Sozzani stumbled upon a large block of vacant apartments at 10 Corso Como, she was immediately hit with the idea of creating an artistic “micro-world”. Opening its doors in the early ‘90s, 10 Corso Como is exactly that - a winding bazaar of art, fashion, music, design, and cuisine. For its visitors, it's as much of a cultural experience as it is a shopping experience. It's a memory in the making.
Just beyond the rather unassuming vine-covered entryway, you’ll be welcomed with the rich aroma of espresso, as you make your way into a quiet courtyard cafe surrounded by lush foliage. Continue onto the main sales floor, and you'll discover futuristic fashions, eccentric lifestyle knick knacks, and art a la "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" before finishing off your visit with a cocktail on the terrace. Practically made for sunset-watching on balmy summer evenings, this is the place to do Apres Shop right. And if you’re feeling particularly posh, book a night at their incredibly luxurious boutique hotel.
While 10 Corso Como's inventory is extensive, their curation of independent designers should not be overlooked. Comb through the unconventionally-designed racks and you’ll discover incredible finds from favorite names like Comme des Garcons, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Manola Blahnik. Whether you walk out with a wildcard fashion find, or just enjoy a cup of coffee on the plush patio, a trip to 10 Corso Como is never a bad idea.
