When you visit American Rag Cie, be prepared to step into a warehouse-sized space overflowing with an eccentric mishmash of men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, homegoods, and more. Carrying trendy modern brands and cool consignment finds alike, the store will feel like a trove of treasures, no matter your style. Because of its size and sheer product density, you’ll want to set a few hours aside for perusing. Choose an afternoon, pack a water bottle (seriously, it’s that massive), and prepare to snag some singular wardrobe additions.

The space is outfitted with an assortment of random decor that somehow works perfectly together. Saloon-style doors front its dressing rooms, Moroccan-style lamps hang from the wooden beams stretching across its ceiling, framed prints and animal horns hang from its walls, and vintage-looking wooden display cases hold court throughout. Giant white columns like those you’d see in Athens stretch from floor to lofted ceilings, while a green and white checkerboard tiled floor space connotes the shoe try-on area. It’s basically as a consignment store gone way, way chic, and has a whimsical quality to it that only adds to its intrigue.
In terms of the actual shopping, be prepared to find everything you never knew you needed and more; an ombre maxi dress from Staud Clothing, yin-yang mules from Paloma Wool, beaded bags from Susan Alexandra, and upcycled styles from Sami Miro Vintage. Also carrying soaps, ceramics, brooms, chairs, CD’s, consignment floral dresses, and pre-loved sunglasses, and more, American Rag Cie proves that sometimes more really is more.
