Darling layout. Artisan Candles. Pastel puff-sleeve rompers. Overall immaculate vibes. Are you surprised another shop like this has come to San Francisco? No. Are you happy? Over the moon.
Opened in 2015, Anomie is more than a boutique, it is art. Carrying a thoughtful, handpicked selection of clothing, accessories, home goods, and beauty items from independent and emerging brands and artists, owner/youtuber/overall cool-girl Chelsea Moylan knows how to curate nice things really well.

Anomie’s style could best be described as one part starving artist, one part bougie millennial. Its quirky range of women’s apparel is anything but basic including gems like cow-print wide-leg trousers, square-toe blue-snakeskin riding boots, and kiwi-green boiler suits. And if that isn’t incentive enough to pop by, then its home decor will do the trick. “Boy Smells” soy candles, abstract bathmats, and decorative candelabras. Just incredible.
The shop itself is bright, clean, minimalistic, and artfully embellished with colorful canvases painted by local artists. Nothing to write home about, but also nothing to complain about. With most prices hovering below $200, Anomie is quite affordable for the level of quality, style, and curation it offers. While it's no bargain bin, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything half as funky at another boutique in this price range.
