Walk into Apple & Oak on any given day and you’ll be met with a warm smile, complimentary mimosa, and maybe even the sight of Kacey Musgraves looking for a new Turkish rug. Cute home decor, country-music legends, and bubbles…..could you really ask for anything more?

           

Opened in 2015 by founder and all-around cool-girl Allison Holley, Apple & Oak centers its offering around one thing: FUN. Injecting playfulness into every single thing they carry, the store is a colorful hodgepodge of home decor, knick knacks, and gifts to please just about anyone. From pool floats shaped like pineapples to “Did you bring wine?” doormats, to grown-up temporary tattoos...lovers of all things eccentric will feel like a kid in a candy store.

While Apple & Oak stocks a wide range of zany gems (hello Carole Baskin greeting cards), their real claim to fame is their curation of vintage Turkish rugs. Not only do they sell them at reasonable prices, but you can even take them home for 24 hours to see how they fit your space before purchasing. Couple one of these colorful rugs with an art piece from 1767 Designs (completely made of repurposed wood from historical Nashville homes) and your home will look like it came straight off of Pinterest.

Located conveniently in the Shops at Porter East in East Nashville, Apple & Oak is the perfect drop-by spot after a day of exploration. Grab some handmade greeting cards, some RBG laptop sticks, and if you’re feeling extra frisky, maybe some of their naughty barware.
