50 years in and still going strong? One look at iconic retailer Browns Fashion and you’ll understand why. Founded in 1970 by husband and wife duo Sidney and Joan Burstein, Browns isn’t just a historic part of London’s fashion scene, it is London's fashion scene.

At first glance, Browns may come across like any other mega-brand retailer set inside a gorgeous building, catering to the elite taste of luxury consumers. Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Christopher Kane...brands we've all heard of and love. But one look deeper and you'll discover something quite amazing - Browns Fashion is actually accredited with discovering these very labels, a claim to fame very few boutiques have earned. We bow down.
Across its spacious three floors, you can find anything from high-end Saint Laurent summer sundresses to laid-back, I'm-too-cool-for-luxury, Converse sneakers. Looking for that Bottega Veneta pouch that every girl in the office carries? They've got it. A Reformation dress to offset a splurge on Manolo Blahnik pink suede pumps? They're here for you. Or maybe you're just in the market for a candy-necklace-inspired sunglass chain. Well, they stock that as well.
The magenta neon sign in the shoe room reads “go big or go home” and that pretty much sums it up. More than just a boutique, Browns Fashion is a London landmark. When you visit, carve out a few hours, since coming here is more than shopping, it's exploring.
