Founded in 2013 by its namesake owner, Ceri Hoover is Nashville’s ringleader when it comes to classy-casual leather accessories, handcrafted shoes, and free and easy apparel.

If you’re looking for ultra-trendy, New-York-Fashion-Week-street-style type accessories, then Ceri Hoover is probably not for you. But if you’re looking for something that will hold up for 10 years through work trips, weekend soccer games, and constant wear-and-tear, then it's worth checking out. It’s hard to find room to go wrong when warm, rich colors and buttery leather grace their shelves.

           

Take a peek inside their 12South storefront and what you’ll find is a layout that reflects the essence of the brand: simple, no frills, and to the point. While simple shelving, a few leather benches, and some potted plants may be all there is in terms of decor, the bare-bones aesthetic lets the real star of the show shine: the leather goods. Oh, and did we mention that the owner keeps a constant supply of homemade baked goods available for shoppers?

In need of a new throw-on-and-run-out-the-door outfit? Try one of their linen dresses from Rachel Craven. A pair of sunglasses that go with just about everything? Handcrafted tortoiseshell frames will do the trick. Been lusting over the newest Bottega Veneta pouches? We recommend their “Mia” clutch, an excellent dupe, and at 1/8th the price, we say buy the bag.

While a more engaging shop experience and greater assortment could bump them up a few notches, they have earned a respectable ranking thanks to their versatile products and next-level quality. Sure, Ceri Hoover may not be the most thrilling shop on the strip, but good luck finding another bag that will last as long as theirs do.
