Founded in 1968 as a textile design business, it has since evolved into a full-fledged brand offering womenswear, menswear, accessories, home goods, and fragrances, although this location mainly stocks its wearable creations. Staying true to its roots, the brand is known for its stellar prints, with paisley reigning supreme as its signature pattern and florals, stripes, and the like also appearing regularly in its collections. Slightly bohemian and thoroughly sophisticated, Etro is a must-shop if you find yourself in Milan.

           

Enter into the multi-level boutique and you’ll be struck by its sleek and modern design. Different rooms have decor elements—one boasts a punchy polka dot wallpaper while another stands out for its wood paneling—but all of them are outfitted with shiny metal racks, well-dressed display tables, comfortable seating spaces, and plenty of room for perusing. Also featuring brocade wallpaper and multi-color butterfly artwork, the space’s vibe perfectly matches that of the clothes and makes for a colorful and luxurious experience.

What to buy? If money grew on trees, everything. Look out for their impeccably tailored suits in neutral hues and paisley prints alike and don’t miss their signature maxi dresses that are bright, flowy, and pair excellently with their embroidered vests. Also to-die-for are their ruffled blouses, pleated maxi skirts, and velvet trousers, all of which pairs excellently with their colorful embroidered bags and studded leather belts.
