When's the last time you wore a comfy, breezy, effortless outfit that included some kind of animal print, floral, or retro pattern and not felt like a boss every second of it? Hard to imagine. For Fabienne Chapot, adding a playful twist to the all-too-often drab world of womenswear is what her brand is about - a careful balancing act of marrying the unconventional to the traditional.

Started in 2006 as an accessory line, Fabienne Chapot has since developed into a full-blown ready-to-wear line releasing 6 collections a year. Specializing in flowy maxi dresses, unconventional office wear, and all things eye-catching, Fabienne draws her inspiration from vintage movies, collector’s items, and iconic women from the past. If rich colors, unexpected patterns, feminine tailoring, and quirky details are your cup of tea, then you’ll fit right in.
One part 60’s dreamworld, one part interior decor goals from Pinterest, the Hartenstraat flagship store is decorated as if Jonathan Adler himself waved his interior design wand all over the place. Gold accents, gem-tone painted walls and furniture, round crushed-velvet pouf chairs and a mustard-colored wall dedicated exclusively to handbags? If this place doesn’t sound like absolute shopping heaven to you, there's a chance you just don't like shopping (gasp).
Funky work wear fit for the office or an outing, think Diane Von Furstenburg but with a much better price point. While we plan on buying just about everything in the store, some immediate standouts include a lilac poppy-print maxi dress, cerulean corduroy flare pants, and a check-print baby blue blazer with matching trousers….all under 200 euros.
