Surrounded by artisan workshops, hidden courtyards, and deep-rooted Milanese history, in the heart of the 5 Vie District lies a paradise for lovers of everything unconventional. Founded in 2015 by sisters Mariangela and Titti Negroni, Funky Table is a hub of artistic design, cultural heritage, and bizarre decor.

Funky Table is exactly what its name suggests. Specializing in kitschy home furnishings, it’s everything-but-ordinary offering includes snake-shaped teaspoons, tiger-print pencil pots, chile-pepper throw pillows, and everything in between. Each piece in Funky Table’s selection is meticulously curated to reference pop culture, eroticism, and traditional Italian history. Needless to say, there’s never a dull moment in this shop.
A kaleidoscope of vibrant colors, the Via Santa Marta showroom could best be described as what a hippie art teacher’s lofty apartment might look like. Deliberately imperfect, artistically cluttered, and brimming with personality, the shopping experience may not be the most traditional, but it sure will be memorable. The various odds and ends are scattered across a hodgepodge of accumulated shelves, tables, and chairs….there's even merchandise hanging from the ceiling.
For the level of quality found in the patchwork of styles at Funky Table, one would expect to pay top dollar. Lucky for us though, their prices are shockingly reasonable. Hand-blown glassware can be found for around 10 euros a pop, vintage porcelain plates for roughly 60 euros and even velvet pouf chairs for under 100 euros. Charmingly uncoordinated and utterly inspired, Funky Table is a retail experience like no other.
