Ever see an impeccably dressed man sauntering down the block and think “Where has this human been all my life?” Shopping at Indigo & Cotton. Thats where. Known for its meticulously curated selection of fine and casual clothing, footwear, and accessories, this downtown nook is top-dog in the realm of Charleston men’s boutiques.
Whether you are a snob when it comes to blazers or just a Sigma Chi trying to impress your date, Indigo & Cotton probably has what you need. Its impressive selection nails the “modern hipster meets southern gentleman with a touch of GQ” look. It even stocks a small batch of womenswear; think: linen midi dresses, cashmere sweaters, and plaid blazers.

The store is small but spotlessly tidy, like not-a-single-shoelace-out-of-place, Marie-Kondo-level tidy. And yes, the sales associates can and will convince you that you need a pair of $28 pique-knit pattern crew socks made of 100% chemical free, natural dyed, certified organic cotton.
Still not convinced? Take a look at founder Brett Carron’s outfits and you might change your mind. Anyone who can pair Italian-leather shoes with Levi’s and look envy-inducingly good obviously knows what they’re doing when it comes to style. He’s curated the shop and he’s here to curate your closet too.
Scoring a solid ranking, the only thing Indigo & Cotton could improve upon would be a larger space. Nevertheless, whether you were in the market for that salmon-colored pair of socks or not, you probably won’t have buyer’s remorse after shopping here.
