Julep

It would be difficult to walk by Julep without yearning to take a peek inside; after all, their exterior looks like it was plucked straight from the cobblestone streets of Italy and plopped onto Queen street. Established in 2016 by an adorable mother-daughter duo, Julep is the best kept retail-secret by College of Charleston chicks and monogrammed moms alike.

While the outside may look like the set of “Under the Tuscan Sun,” the interior is like something off the pages of Southern Living magazine. The cedar shelving and no-nonsense displays perfectly show off the clean lines and cheery colors of their abundant feminine pieces. Just when you thought they already had everything you need in a boutique, they threw in a wicker seating area streaming golf for the guys.

          

Tunics fit for tailgates, cover-ups meant for cruises, and dresses that would impress the best-dressed ladies at the debutante luncheon, Julep takes southern style VERY seriously. With picks at every price point, you can walk out with a lemon-embroidered raffia clutch for only $45 or a gorgeous watercolor drop-waist t-shirt dress for $258…..why not walk out with both? Score extra “town-pride” brownie points in one of their “Charleston” emblazoned sweaters for only $130.

Their slogan “Fashion is like a cocktail; mix it up!” rings true, you’d be hard pressed to find another boutique on King street that offers their mix of shift dresses and spunky sandals. After you’re done letting the ladies of Julep outfit you from head to toe, hit the town and grab a mint julep with your girlfriends!
