Luna & Curious

As you walk inside Luna & Curious, you’re greeted by a pastel paradise of handcrafted hair clips and embroidered statement socks. It’s an artisan toy emporium filled with knick-knacks and gifts ready to be bought before you even know who the recipient is. It’s the place to be for all brands that are about to make it big, and it’s been called a “miniature department store” because it carries a wonderful mix of all the things you’d ever want to buy.

           

Established in 2006 by Polly George, Kaoru Parry, and Rheanna Lingham as Britain’s go-to for up-and-coming brands, Luna & Curious is East London’s supreme shopping spot for womenswear, children’s toys, stationary, homeware, and anything else you can think of. Marigold-colored overalls, pom-pom crewnecks, and leopard-printed slippers are a few of the items that caught our attention. And the toy selection of painted animal pull-alongs, hand-lettered pop-up books, and reclaimed-wood play-vegetables make this the perfect place for a mommy-daughter afternoon.

Nestled on Calvert Avenue between Boundary Estate’s signature red brick buildings, the colorful array of floral arrangements overflowing from Luna & Curious make spotting it easy. A color scheme of creamy whites inside allows the vibrant merchandise to really pop, and the umbrella-shaped lights are an added touch that didn’t go unnoticed. Simply put, we love their homey vibes, eclectic crop of interesting labels, and fair prices. Pop in for a quick trip during lunch or stroll around Boundary Estate and make an afternoon of it.
