On an otherwise rather dull side street along the Canal Saint-Martin lies a rainbow-colored diamond in the rough. The sweet aroma of fresh espresso, candy-toned tiles, and all around good vibes practically spill out onto the sidewalk. What is this sensory-overload shopping oasis you may ask? Meet Make My Lemonade.

Created in 2015 by maximalist Lisa Gachet (who proclaims herself as being overall “a little too much”), Make My Lemonade is the first ever brand to offer “do it yourself” fashion. Selling exclusively limited edition clothes, you get the choice to make the garment yourself by purchasing the patterns and supplies or buy it already made. With eyelash prints, lipstick motifs, and just about every color under the sun, theres something to please even the pickiest of perusers.

While the concept might be a little on the radical side for many more traditional fashion lovers, it’s hard to resist wanting to take a stab at sewing when you catch glimpse of the rose-gold scissors and mending kits they sell on the side. Have no fear, sewing newbies, they’ve got everything you need and more to bring your fashion design dreams to life.

Make My Lemonade doesn’t just stop at DIY projects and patterned dresses, they’ve also got a pastel-hued workshop where they host everything from calligraphy lessons to sneaker embroidery seminars. Oh, and just when you thought this place couldn’t get any sweeter? There also happens to be an in-house cafe and bakery (and might we add a no-brainer Instagram backdrop.) Order the veggie burger and heart shaped potato waffles. You won’t regret it.
