When an economic crisis sent shockwaves through the world in 2008, Bo and Kevin Carney decided to make a risky decision and open up a boutique called Mohawk General Store. Curating a tasteful selection of men's and women's apparel and handpicked home decor, Mohawk General Store is an endless emporium of everything we never knew we needed.

All too often in the world of boutique shopping, we end up sifting through stacks of the same old same old. That is far from the case at Mohawk General Store; cycling through products at lighting speed, their selection feels anything but stale. From Staud handbags in sophisticated silhouettes, to Comme des Garcons gingham sets, to cult classic Jacquemus Le Chiquito mini-bags, all of the finest items in high fashion line their shelves. It’s hard to be disappointed when there’s Issey Miyake mumus and Isabel Marent overcoats in the picture.
With a relaxed store atmosphere and homey layout, Mohawk takes a more laid-back approach to luxury retail in the most refreshing way possible. Minimalistic, cozy, and neutral, their Sunset Boulevard showroom is the epitome of “no frills” with antique shelving, simple succulents, and a lofted home and sale section. Browse your favorite brands like Ganni, Acne Studios, and Sophie Buhai without the stuffiness that all too often accompanies couture. And if you’re not in need of a wardrobe reset? Stock up on some Cire Trudon candles and Postalco printed stationery for a last minute gift to keep on deck.
