Founded in 1944, Tearose is a stunning three-story boutique offering women’s clothing and accessories, beauty products, and home goods, all with a decidedly luxury feel. The space itself is sprawling and boasts an atmosphere that’s almost paradoxical: it’s sleek yet bohemian, with some Italian villa elements thrown in for good measure, and features high ceilings, arched doorways, and plenty of natural light. The best part? It’s filled with fresh cut flowers and an assortment of potted plants, giving it an ethereal vibe unrivaled by any other shopping establishment.

At Tearose, you won’t have a problem finding exactly what you’re looking for. In fact, you’re more likely to find way too much of what you’re looking for, and at a high price. From Carven to Acne to Margiela to Diptyque, it’s brands are among the finest, and they span a range of styles and tastes.
Starting with their beauty section, which welcomes patrons into the store, you’ll find honey-infused hair oil from Gisou, an array of fragrances from Carner Barcelona and Byredo, creams and soaps from Acqua Di Fiesole, and much more. Transitioning to their racks upon racks of ready-to-wear, slinky bomber coats and boxy dresses from Rick Ownes will tempt you, as will floral dresses from Magda Butrym and ruffled mini skirts and blouses from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Regarding accessories, they’ve got comfy flats from ViBi Venezia, embroidered leather bags from Susannah Hunter, and exquisite jewels from Parvin Beverly Hills, allowing you to fully complete whatever look you might choose.
Once your clothing shopping is done, turn your attention to Tearose’s Architectural Digest-worthy homegoods. Spruce up your couch with velvet patterned throw pillows, stock your cabinets with painted mugs and ceramic vases, and add whimsy to any surface with a bright blown glass lamp base. La dolce vita, indeed.
