As its name suggests, The Shirt Shop is known for offering one piece of clothing in particular, except its button-ups, tees, and crewnecks are unlike anyone else’s. Rather than stocking typical monochromatic shirts with the occasional diamond, striped, or polka dotted print, its styles boast eye-popping hues and kaleidoscopic patterns that are guaranteed to turn heads. From groovy 70s-inspired motifs to vibrant aquatic scenes and lush botanicals, it’s got a print for every taste, no matter how outlandish.

From the street, you’ll see racks upon racks of The Shirt Shop’s styles lining the building’s windows. That’s because the long, narrow split-level store hugs the front of the building and feels more like oversize display windows than a roomy, traditionally laid out boutique. Featuring white floors, a checkered rug, mismatched chairs, a few orchids, and the random sculpture or piece of artwork, it’s pared down in design but welcoming all the same. The changing room can be found upstairs and mirrors are located throughout.

While the store does carry graphic crewneck sweatshirts, printed tees, and the occasional hat or bag, its focus is on button-ups. Sourced from independent European designers based in Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, and beyond, the shirts are high-quality in make and whimsical in style. Along with the aforementioned prints, you might find zebra, paisley, checked, butterfly, and floral prints on any given day, all of which are sure to stand out thanks to their flashy hues. Of course, if you’re looking for something a bit more tame (think office attire), The Shirt Shop can help you out with that too. But why not follow suit and dress with a sense of humor?
