Who doesn’t love indulging in dazzling gems? At White Bird, all of your jewelry dreams just might come true. While the shop’s interior boasts a more understated appeal, its selection of baubles in every shape, color, and style will provide a veritable feast for your eyes. Founded by Stephanie Roger, a self-taught jeweler who worked in marketing and retail with the likes of Cartier, Piaget and Chaumet, the boutique clearly has its finger on the pulse of what’s chic.

Spacious and flooded with natural light, White Bird feels decidedly more welcoming than most stark, harshly-lit jewelry stores. Grounded in wooden floors, it features clear glass cubes in which striking jewels are displayed that rest atop woven stands and protrude from the space’s whitewashed beams. An additional display table holds court in the center of the shop, the walls of which are painted in moody tones or are plastered with patterned wallpaper. Cozy rugs line the floor, and a table and chairs, couch, and fully stocked bookshelf will make you feel at home. As a finishing touch, vases of freshly cut flowers are placed throughout the space.
If its decor is relaxed and laid back, the boutique’s offerings are anything but. Highlights include playful gold rings and necklaces inlaid with kaleidoscopic assortments of gems by Dorette; dainty gold chains strung with opals and emeralds by White Bird’s namesake label; bohemian beaded creations strung with tourmaline and antique glass by Karen Liberman; chunky, graphic pieces featuring colorful flowers, eyes, and skulls by Samuel Francois; and drop earrings embellished with clusters of pearls by Sophie Bille Brahe. From engagement rings to party-perfect stunners, the shop has it all and then some.
